Eye
examinations
should
be
an
essential
part
of
your
overall
health
care.
There
are
many
factors
that
can
affect
your
vision
and
eye
health,
therefore
routine
eye
examinations
are
recommended.
The
ability
to
see
is
one
of
the
most
valuable aspects of life. It is important to protect your vision.
Comprehensive Eye Exams
We perform full eye tests to check the overall function of your eyes. This includes examining:
•
Visual correction for glasses and contact lens
•
Binocular vision to ensure that both eyes are working well together
It
is
important
for
children
to
have
their
eyes
tested
before
going
into
grade
school.
Some
children
may
have
a
high
refractive
error
(eyeglass
prescription),
strabismus
(“cross
eyes”)
or
amblyopia
(“lazy
eye”),
which
can
affect
how
well your eyes are working well together.
The health of your eyes
Your
eye
health
is
important.
When
checking
your
eyes
we
assess
for
various
conditions
including
dry
eye,
strained
eyes
from
computer
vision
syndrome,
cataracts,
glaucoma
and
macular
degeneration.
Many
eye
conditions
such
as
glaucoma can have little or no symptoms initially but can be better managed if detected earlier on.
Your
eyes
can
also
tell
us
a
lot
about
your
overall
health.
For
instance,
when
we
are
examining
you
retina,
we
check
for
signs
of
diabetic
retinopathy
and
hypertensive
retinopathy.
We
recommend
that
diabetics
get
yearly
eye
checkups.
