In July 2010, the Guildford location of West Coast Optical in Surrey changed ownership and is now operating as Impressive Eyewear.
With this change comes a whole new beginning—featuring new brand names and a wide variety of styles to suit the most discerning and fashion-conscious eyewear shoppers.
At Impressive Eyewear, we provide famous brand-name designer frames, sunglasses, contact lenses, ready-made reading glasses, and a range of accessories to meet all your eyewear needs.

Gisele Klein, Owner
Gisele is a Licensed contact lens fitter, and automated refraction Optician, a computerized procedure that connects and combines data from ophthalmic equipment to produce detailed and accurate refraction results.
‘It was my passion for optics that brought me to open the door for Impressive Eyewear. Perhaps, this was the answer to the many dreams I had of owning and operating my own business. Having established myself as a confident, knowledgeable and successful optician since 1982, I knew I was ready for a new challenge in the optical profession.’

Throughout my years in the industry, I can proudly say there is a significant difference between being trained and being truly educated.
I genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge to enhance each customer or patient’s experience.
My goal is for you—the customer—to leave not feeling like you were sold something, but rather feeling confident and comfortable with your purchase.
As Gisele’s daughter, the optical field was a constant topic throughout my early years.
Having worn glasses from a young age, it felt inevitable that I would follow in my mother’s footsteps and become involved in the industry myself.
